This is the personal Blogger blog of Bill Bolmeier. Thanks for stoppin' by. Blogger is a blogging platform that is owned by Google. It is free and a great way to start blogging. Don't forget to stop by http://billbolmeier.com where I blog about a bunch of web-related stuff.
Blogger is a great way to get started blogging. It is a free blogging service provided by Google. You can customize your Blogger blog to fit your needs.
Here are some of Blogger's features:
Blogger Templates - An array of dynamic and classic templates allow you to make your blog look great right away. The template system also lets you change the look and feel of your blog whenever you want to. There's also a mobile view too that you can enable or disable.
Blogger Widgets - Widgets provide functionality for Blogger blogs. For example, if you want a list of websites you recommend to your visitors in the sidebar, a widget allows you to do that.
Blogger Layouts - You can move things around by dragging and dropping widgets in the header, footer, body, sidebar, and menu area to further customize how your blog's layout is designed.
Writing Blog Posts - While writing blogs posts, Blogger's editor allows you to write in rich-text mode or get down and dirty in raw HTML mode.
Scheduled Blog Posts - Blogger allows you to write multiple blog posts in one sitting and have them schedule to be published at later dates and times. This is a great way to write your posts and let Blogger take care of displaying your blog posts at the right time.
Labeled Blog Posts - Labels are the same as categories. You can right a bunch of blog posts for one label or more and have those labels listed (a label widget) in a sidebar or horizontal menu for your visitors to easily access. I recommend one label for many related blog posts. This provide a convenient way for people and search engines to figure out what your blog posts are about.
The above is just a sample of what you can do with Blogger, there are many more features that you can use to create a great blog using Blogger.
Until next time, have fun blogging with Blogger.
